Although cardiovascular exercise can be a good warm up for strength training, you may consider reversing the order if you are doing a particularly challenging cardio session that day so you don’t deplete all of your energy stores. It takes some experimenting to determine what works best for you based on the intensity and style of the cardio and strength workouts you plan to do.
